ELECTRICITY
The Slovak Power Plants in Bratislava submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Finance to increase electricity prices by an average of 10% for citizens and by a maximum of 5% for companies. Electricity prices would not be increased for the Slovak Railways.
PRICES OF PETROL AND DIESEL
Starting May 1 1996 the Ministry of Finance increased the maximum allowed prices of petrol by Sk 1.00 litre and diesel by Sk 0.80/litre This is due to rising oil prices on the world market.
