Bass, Berry & Sims attorney Cindy Reisz authored an article for Nashville Medical News outlining the areas of focus of the American Health Law Association (AHLA) for the next few years. AHLA is the  nation's largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the healthcare field. Cindy has been involved in AHLA for almost 25 years and currently serves as president-elect and in June 2021 will begin a one-year term as president of the organization.

During her tenure, Cindy will lead the organization in its focus on a variety of issues in the industry, including:

  • The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare.
  • The increasing use of new models of healthcare delivery such as telehealth.
  • Addressing racial disparities in healthcare.
