As more studies continue to emerge regarding the sometimes significant pricing disparities between hospitals for ostensibly similar treatments, hospitals should prepare for additional federal (e.g.,  DOJ and FTC antitrust divisions, FTC and CFPB consumer protection) and state (e.g.,  Attorneys General Consumer Protection Divisions) scrutiny into their pricing practices and market power.
