The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ("CFPB") extended the deadline for comments on improving the process for Civil Investigative Demands ("CIDs"). The deadline was extended to May 7, 2018.

CIDs are requests for information that are issued in relation to enforcement actions. As previously covered, the CFPB is soliciting feedback concerning how CIDs may be updated to better achieve CFPB objectives, minimize burdens and align with existing processes in place for other agencies with similar authorities.
