President Donald J. Trump issued an Executive Order imposing further sanctions on Iran with respect to its arms activities. The Executive Order is in response to Iran's ongoing military support of conflicts in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.

Among other things, the Executive Order authorizes the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury, to impose blocking sanctions on persons found to have transferred or aided in the transfer of conventional arms to Iran.
