The Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures ("CPMI") and IOSCO reported that there is increasing coordination among global financial authorities in overseeing financial market infrastructures ("FMIs"). For the purposes of the report, CPMI and IOSCO defined FMIs as "systemically important payment systems, central securities depositories, securities settlement systems, central counterparties, and trade repositories."
