This week, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released an updated handbook for employers concerning Form I-9 completion, titled "M-274, Handbook for Employers, Guidance for Completing Form I-9." The previous handbook was updated to reflect changes to Form I-9 that were implemented in November 2016, and to incorporate recent regulatory changes that went into effect in January 2017.

As a reminder, as of January 22, 2017, U.S. employers are required to use the new version of Form I-9 for all new hires in the U.S.

The Employer Handbook is available for download on the USCIS website by clicking here.
