The following are the broad categories of services which the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has stipulated qualify as essential services:

  • Banking and Finance
  • Fire services
  • Port, docking and airport services and undertaking
  • Postal
  • Production of fuel and lubricants
  • Health and medical
  • Solid waste management and public cleaning
  • Radio communication including broadcasting and TV
  • Telecommunication
  • Transport by land, water or air
  • E-Commerce
  • Security

If you believe that you may be operating an essential service and have not yet applied to the Registrar, we at KISCH IP are able to assist in obtaining the necessary certificate on behalf of your business at no cost to you.
