Hatstone Lawyers is excited to announce that we now accept payment for legal advice in Bitcoin.

Partner Carl O'Shea explains:

"Our decision to accept Bitcoin shows our commitment to the growing digital economy. The real advantage will be to our international clients due to the fact that Bitcoin trading fees are much lower than international bank transfer fees. With more and more entrepreneurs setting up Bitcoin related businesses, we are seeking to provide greater flexibility to our clients who can choose to pay us using whichever currency is most convenient to them."

Hatstone Lawyers has always sought to be ahead of the game when it comes to technology, having been the first law firm in Jersey to use all Apple technology.

Phil Stone, Head of Information Technology, explains:

"Having consulted with a number of industry specialists both in Jersey and the US, it became clear to us that there was no real reason not to accept payment in Bitcoin."

Hatstone Lawyers is one of Jersey's leading private wealth and corporate boutique practices. The business was established in 2011 to offer an alternative to the larger Jersey law firms. It now has five Partners and offices in Jersey, Panama and South Africa. The firm is dedicated to providing a high quality, Partner-led client focused service across a range of core practice areas including, private client and trusts, corporate and commercial, banking and finance, investment funds, property finance, structured finance and securitisation, litigation, employment and commercial property.
