The Second Annual FCPA Conference was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Istanbul on 5 October 2021. More than 60 in-house lawyers and c-suite executives from leading organizations in Turkey joined thought leaders from Michelman & Robinson, LLP, and Cetinkaya for two intensive panel discussions evaluating the current legal landscape regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. There were also several productive networking opportunities at Cetinkaya's first face-to-face event in over 18 months.
Beginning the day's program of expert analysis, the conference's first session covered Michelman & Robinson, LLP, and Cetinkaya's FCPA White-Paper and Year in Review, with speakers including Altuğ Özgün, Kathleen Shannon, and Burcu Seven. The afternoon session took an in-depth look at International Risk and FCPA Compliance from a Turkish Perspective, with speakers including Bradley Henry, Bentley James Yaffe, and Mehmet Baysan.
It was a great achievement to deliver this event following the many issues that the pandemic has raised, so we would like to say a big thank you to Jill Jackson, Erin Gilmore, Ayşe Gönen Anaeli, Ece Mert, Eray KARABAŞ, Gozde Kabadayi, Omer Er, and Christine Connell for their help in making this event possible, and ultimately so successful.
