André Zerafa has been invited to deliver a keynote speech at FinanceMalta's Annual Conference, which is being held between the 20th and 21st of July, Now in its 14th year running, this year's conference is themed around the local and global emergence of the financial services sector. The discussion will be facilitated by sector leaders, key market players and start-ups who will share best practices and their insights on developments and emerging trends within the financial services industry.
During his keynote speech, Andre will be discussing the need for transparent enforcement procedures for enhanced regulation, supervision and enforcement, in view of a clear upward trend in the issuance of administrative penalties by the Maltese authorities in recent years. Within this context, Andre will be taking a look at the enforcement parameters as well as settlement procedures that may be put in place to speed up processes by Maltese authorities. He will also analyse how other countries have been dealing with such issues whilst retaining the same level of industry attractiveness.
