Kirkland & Ellis advised Centerview Partners, financial advisor to the Special Committee of AVX Corporation, on AVX's sale to Kyocera Corporation of all outstanding shares of common stock of AVX not already owned by Kyocera for $21.75 per share. The deal is currently expected to close in the fourth quarter of Kyocera's fiscal year ending March 2020. Upon closing, AVX will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera.
