CLE Program
Please join us for a timely discussion of corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives focused on recruitment, retention, and promotion. We will explore ways that corporations, including their legal departments, can implement D&I initiatives to bring about a more diverse workforce while mitigating potential legal risks.
You will learn details about diversity recruiting, employee affinity groups, and mentorship/sponsorship programs within the corporate legal context. Our discussion will include a summary of the primary employment laws governing these programs, along with legal risks and trends, and will explore recent reverse-discrimination litigation and issues related to quotas, targets, and affirmative action.

Marty Schmelkin served as in-house employment counsel for 15 years at a leading global financial institution, an experience that provided him with the practical, business-oriented perspective he brings to his practice at Jones Day. Marty represents employers in all aspects of employment law.
