On 11 November 2019 our Advocate and Environmental Manager of the company Mr. Zacharias Kapsis represented A. Karitzis & Associates L.L.C in the Annual General Meeting of Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association (CYMEPA) of which our law firm is supporting member.
Mr. Michael Ierides, the Secretary General of CYMEPA had the opportunity to briefly present to all members the new goals and actions of CYMEPA for the forthcoming months.
At the 27th Annual General Meeting the new Directors of the Association were elected and the annual report and financial statements of the association were approved unanimously. It is important to be mentioned that the Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association has been formed with the initiative of the International Shipping Community of Cyprus with the support of the Commercial Community of the island. CYMEPA is an autonomous, not-for-profit organization funded solely by its members.
The principal aim of CYMEPA is to encourage and actively assist effective efforts to prevent all forms of pollution of the sea. The Association also helps seafarers and executives to be more aware of safety and the protection of the marine environment.
