Bowditch partner Mary Feeney was honored with an award for her work on the Higher Education Real Estate Lawyers (HEREL) Steering Committee at the HEREL Conference, held at UCLA October 17 through 18.

Mary spoke at the HEREL conference with David Travers about "Risk Doctors — Applying Hard-Earned Lessons from Lawyers for Better Construction Project Outcomes" along with Penny Pittman Cobey of Baker & Hostetler in Los Angeles. She was then surprised with the award in appreciation of her contributions and service on the HEREL Steering Committee. The award reflects Mary's dedication to real estate and construction law.

HEREL was established in 2003 by lawyers from the University of Pennsylvania and Duke University as an informal organization of higher education lawyers to provide networking and CLE opportunities for real estate and construction law attorneys at institutes of higher education.
