Speaking Engagement

MoFo is a proud sponsor of Climate Week NYC 2019, taking place from September 23 to 29. Businesses, governments, academic institutions, arts organizations, individuals and non- profit organizations gather to participate in the week-long events program including panel discussions concerts, exhibitions, seminars and more.

This session looks at the level of investment needed for companies to lead the way in delivering a low-carbon economy at an accelerated pace. It will also explore how companies can align retirement options with their sustainability strategies to achieve greater impact and remain both a resilient and attractive employer for future generations.

Partner Susan Mac Cormac will participate as a speaker in the first part of this session on the "How Can Companies Harness Investment Opportunities and Leverage Portfolios for a Net-Zero Future?" panel, which will explore the investment strategies needed to ensure a sustainable and equitable path to net zero emissions is delivered at an accelerated pace. The need to identify and assess the risks posed by climate change must go alongside investments in climate-smart projects.

In addition, leading businesses are making ambitious commitments on renewable energy, electric vehicles and energy efficiency as well as other innovative climate solutions to future proof their business and protect our planet. These companies can also better attract and retain employees looking to work for businesses that contribute to the low carbon transition. The second part of this session will look at how companies can offer retirement options that support climate action while allowing equal or better returns.

Please note: this event will be livestreamed. Please visit the Climate Week NYC website for more information.
