Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Katherine (Katey) Anderson Sanchez, associate in our Phoenix office, has been elected chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Arizona. As chair, Katey will promote the objectives of the State Bar in the fields of bankruptcy, insolvency laws, debtor's rights, creditor's rights and related fields, including, without limitation, organizational activities, educational activities, promotional activities and review of and comment on pending and existing legislation, rules and procedures.
"As the Section Chair, I would like to continue the traditions and collegiality that are a hallmark of the bankruptcy section. I hope to bring interesting and informative legal education opportunities to the members of the bar and continue to support opportunities for networking within our own section and with other sections," said Katey.
Katey's experience includes representing creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 and 13 bankruptcies and guiding businesses and individuals through the liquidation process of Chapter 7 bankruptcy. She also represents creditors in civil litigation matters and commercial lending transactions. Katey was the co-chair for the bankruptcy section of the 2018 Arizona State Bar Convention.
