The lawyers recognized include Los Angeles partner Vincent J. Belusko and Palo Alto partner Catherine Polizzi, as well as San Francisco partners Michael Jacobs, Stefani Shanberg, and Michael Ward.

Vincent Belusko is no stranger to the Daily Journal's list of Top IP Lawyers; this is his third appearance on the list. Vincent has a long record of successful patent case outcomes, litigating on a diverse range of technologies. He is also well versed in jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and Federal Circuit appellate arguments concerning patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition, and related intellectual property matters.

Michael Jacobs co-founded and currently co-chairs the firm's Intellectual Property Group. He has been called an "extremely smart, articulate professional" patent litigator by his clients, whom he has helped guide through some of their most complex cases. Michael served as co-lead counsel in two very high-profile intellectual property cases, including a smartphone case that led to a jury verdict of over $1 billion.

Catherine Polizzi's ability to combine insightful counseling and strategic advice make her a recognized leader in the IP space. She has been named to Daily Journal's list of Top 100 Intellectual Property Lawyers in California every year since 2009. Catherine helps emerging and established companies with obtaining patents, portfolio counseling and management, and advice on freedom of operation and various forms of IP assessment.

Stefani Shanberg is a standout trial lawyer and a go-to advisor for some of the biggest technology companies facing multifaceted IP lawsuits. Her track record of successful outcomes has earned her a place as a leading IP litigator and one of the top women in technology law. She has been recognized as a Top 100 IP Lawyer by Daily Journal for nine years running and was named to their list of Top Women Lawyers in California for the past six years.

Michael Ward is the founder of the firm's Plant Intellectual Property Group and is one of the most widely-recognized agricultural IP lawyers, managing a wide range of intellectual property issues related to plants and plant products. Michael is also global head of the firm's Life Sciences practice, head of the firm's Patent Group, and co-chair of the Intellectual Property Group. He has been recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the Top 25 IP Portfolio Managers in California for the last nine years running.
