Canada's leading litigation firm is proud to welcome two exceptionally strong advocates to the partnership, Brendan Morrison and Andrew Porter.

Brendan and Andrew both joined the firm as summer students and have developed into premier young lawyers and core members of the firm. They are expert litigators committed to advancing our clients' interests through the same excellence in advocacy that has made us Canada's leading litigation firm. From boardrooms to courtrooms, they use their considerable skills, experience, and business acumen to successfully navigate complex disputes for their clients. We know they will continue to be unstoppable against other litigators.

"Our future success and the success of our clients depends on our ability to recruit, retain and promote the brightest and the best – Brendan and Andrew are great additions to our team," says Tom Curry, Managing Partner. "Our clients have confidence in their judgment, experience and  advocacy skills and they are a vital part of the strength of our firm."

Brendan has a varied civil litigation and appellate practice with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation, professional liability, and shareholder and employment disputes. He is currently counsel in an action seeking to enforce an $9.51 billion (U.S.) judgment against Chevron Corp. on behalf of a group of Ecuadorean aboriginals. Brendan plays hard for his clients before all levels of courts in Canada and various administrative tribunals. He earns the respect of his colleagues and the confidence of his clients based on his efficient and creative problem-solving skills, which he uses to navigate complex and stressful disputes and to win the best outcome for his clients.

Andrew's trial and appellate practice encompasses a range of general litigation, including commercial litigation, professional liability, and professional regulation. His clients regularly include corporations, shareholders, professionals as well as their regulatory bodies. His advice and representation has proven effective both inside and outside the courtroom. Andrew appeared as counsel in the Supreme Court of Canada in Groia v LSUC. He has also appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, and various administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Andrew uses his experience and judgment to help his clients successfully navigate complex problems in short order. A seasoned advocate, he stands tall against any challenge.

Congratulations, Brendan and Andrew!
