Introducing our newest member of the Moray & Agnew Workplace Team – Tim McDonald.

With 20 years' experience Tim provides his clients with the full range of workplace relations, human resources and employment advisory services.

Tim has advised and represented employers from a broad range of industries including retail, hospitality, health, manufacturing, clerical, banking and finance, transport and logistics, real estate, building and construction, education and mining. He acts for both private and public sector clients.

He has been active in assisting employers with strategic and compliance issues with the transition to the new workplace relations system and in briefing them about its operation. He also represented numerous employers in proceedings before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission and Fair Work Australia in relation to the making of modern awards.

Tim has assisted employers with strategies and training around enterprise bargaining. He has also represented clients in a number of landmark cases in relation to good faith bargaining requirements, the approval requirements for agreements and the conditions for taking industrial action in support of agreements.

Prior to entering private practice, Tim was the Senior Adviser to the Commonwealth Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, giving him a unique insight into current and future policy developments.

Before this, he was the Workplace Relations Director for one of Australia's largest multiindustry employer groups.

Tim has appeared before the Federal and State Industrial Tribunals and Courts, including running numerous landmark and test cases including work and family, working hours, redundancy, pay equity, secure employment, and cases about awards and enterprise agreements.
