Changes to the Administration and Probate Act 1958 (Vic) (the Act) will come into effect from 1 November 2017.
A new Part IA on intestacy has been added to the Act which sets out in clear terms who is to receive the estate in the event of intestacy (where the deceased has no will).
In this seminar, Peter Holdsworth, Special Counsel will present an overview on the recent changes.
Peter has over 20 years' experience in Trust Law, and was recently named in the 2017 Doyles Guide as a Leading Wills, Estates & Succession Planning Lawyer – Victoria, 2017.
In this session Peter will cover:
- Administration and Probate Act 1958 (Vic) including the new Part IA
- Powers of Attorney Act 2014 (Vic), and
- Guardianship & Administration Act 1986 (Vic).
