Friends of Madgwicks Seminar Invitation
Land owners and developers in Victoria's growth areas are under increasing pressure to understand their liability to pay the Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution (GAIC) imposed under the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (Vic).
Alex Swan, Associate, will provide an overview of the recent changes to GAIC and the implications for land owners and developers.
Alex will cover a range of issues including:
- Overview of how to deal with GAIC liability – exemptions, options for deferring liability, and staged payments;
- Overview of recent changes to GAIC in the wake of the Frontlink decision and implications for land owners and developers;
- How GAIC funds received by the government are applied and the future of GAIC in Victoria.
This is sure to be an informative session. Those eligible will also receive 1 CPD point for Substantive Law.
We hope you can join us.
