Our AfricENS Together Associates Connect programme officially launched on 1 September 2026, welcoming our first participants to our Johannesburg and Kenya offices.
Designed for associates and senior associates from our partnering firms across Africa, the short-term placement programme creates opportunities to build lasting professional relationships, exchange knowledge and expertise, and gain first-hand experience of working across different teams and markets.
During their placement, participants will:
- shadow senior lawyers on active matters;
- participate in client work, where appropriate; and
- attend internal training sessions and firm events.
Celia Becker, Head of our Africa Regulatory and Business Intelligence practice, says the programme builds on the strong relationships ENS has developed with its partnering firms across the continent.
"Our relationships with our partnering firms have always been important to us and the Associates Connect programme gives us an opportunity to strengthen these relationships at an individual level. By working alongside one another, sharing knowledge and learning from different experiences and markets, we deepen our collective understanding of Africa's legal and business landscape. Ultimately, this strengthens the way we work together and the service we provide to our clients across the continent."
We look forward to following our associates' journeys over the coming month.
