Mayer Brown and Tauil & Chequer advised Comerc Energia S.A., a Vibra Energia Group subsidiary, on acquiring the remaining 69% stake in Micropower Energia S.A., a Brazilian battery energy storage systems specialist.

Mayer Brown and Tauil & Chequer (T&C) in association with Mayer Brown advised Comerc Energia S.A., a subsidiary of the Vibra Energia Group, on the acquisition of the remaining stake in Micropower Energia S.A., a Brazilian company specializing in battery energy storage systems.

Comerc previously held approximately 31% of the company and acquired the remaining 69% stake from Equinor Energy Ventures Fund B.V., Micropower Energy Inc., and Siemens Financial Services, Inc., among others. This cross-border deal involved four separate share purchase agreement and other related documents, with sellers from four different jurisdictions

The Brazil-based Mayer Brown and T&C team was led by Global Energy partner Bruno Salzano and included Antitrust partner Flavia Chiquito and senior associate José Gontijo.
