MIAMI (June 4, 2026) – Holland & Knight was recognized as Law Firm of the Year at the Commercial Real Estate Development Association's 2026 NAIOP South Florida Awards of Excellence, held April 30 at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. The awards recognized the most outstanding transactions, projects and professionals across the South Florida commercial real estate industry.

In addition to the Law Firm of the Year Award, partners from the Firm's Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and West Palm Beach offices contributed to two developments that took home top awards. The Pomp received the Economic Impact of the Year Award, and Wynwood Plaza was named Project of the Year.

Several Holland & Knight attorneys attended the awards ceremony, including Partners Janna Lhota, Nick Milano, Isabel Diaz and Adam Zwecker and Associate Connor Holding.

The Pomp: Economic Impact of the Year

Partners Janna Lhota and Sara Bernard led the Firm's representation of Pompano Park JV in the $2 billion redevelopment of the former Pompano Park Racing facility into a 232-acre mixed-use destination. Through coordinated land use, zoning and transactional work, the team is helping move a legacy site into its next chapter, expected to fuel long-term economic activity in Pompano Beach and beyond.

The Pomp blends residential, retail, entertainment and industrial uses into a dynamic live-work-play environment. Anchored by Harrah's Casino and the emerging Pompano Live! district, the development is already gaining traction, with a Topgolf venue open, Lennar advancing residential plans through a $50 million land acquisition, and Costco confirmed as a major retail anchor.

Wynwood Plaza: Project of the Year

Partner Adam Zwecker led the Firm's representation of L&L Holding Co. in its joint venture with Oak Row Equities on Wynwood Plaza, one of Miami's most closely watched mixed-use developments. He assisted with guiding the assemblage and acquisition of 15 parcels across five simultaneous closings, handling a process where any single delay could have disrupted the entire project. Mr. Zwecker also navigated probate matters, title complications, occupancy disputes and potential litigation, aligning all elements to close simultaneously.

That execution cleared the path for a development that will introduce office space, residential units, ground-floor retail and a public plaza in the Wynwood Arts District.
