Life Sciences Litigation Chair and Patent Litigation Co-chair Sige Gutman, recently spoke with Generics Bulletin about the impact of biosimilar streamlining on development, competition, and IP strategy.

Sige emphasized the immediate strategic impact: “The timeline for development of biosimilars has been significantly shortened and the expense in development has been significantly shortened… because the development lifecycle is going to be shortened, I think there’s an enhanced possibility of one biosimilar being able to leapfrog another biosimilar in the development time cycle.”
