Global law firm K&L Gates is advising AUMOVIO on the planned sale of its manufacturing facility in Mechelen, Belgium, to Dumarey Group. The site produces solenoid valves, hydraulic and electronic control units, and wheel speed sensors.

The Dumarey Group plans to acquire and continue operating the site, including maintaining all employees. During a transition period, existing production will continue under a contract manufacturing arrangement before being gradually transferred to other AUMOVIO locations. At the same time, the Dumarey Group intends to expand the facility to support new products and activities across additional industrial sectors.

The transaction is part of AUMOVIO's consolidation of its European manufacturing footprint. It remains subject to customary information and consultation procedures, as well as regulatory approvals, including antitrust clearance.

K&L Gates previously advised AUMOVIO on the sale of its Italian drum brake manufacturing site to Mutares.

The matter is led by Berlin partners Dr. Thomas Lappe and Dr. Thomas Nietsch. They are supported by Brussels partner Jeroen Smets, Frankfurt partner Rainer Schmitt, Munich partner Dr. Michael Kreft, Berlin partner Dr. Annette Mutschler-Siebert, Berlin counsel Marion Baumann, Frankfurt counsel Ulrike Elteste, Berlin senior associate Dr. Gabriella Piras, and Berlin associate Johannah Bittenbinder.
