Notable work includes advising the founders of Island Green Power on the sale of their remaining interest to Macquarie Asset Management, Eelpower on the creation of Eelpower Energy, a £500 million UK battery storage platform, and Frontier Power on its landmark joint venture with Cerberus Capital Management to accelerate long‑duration energy storage projects across the UK.
Gowling WLG's multi-disciplinary Energy Transition Sector team has a first-class reputation in energy transition, operating seamlessly around the globe. Other recent work includes advising Statkraft on PPAs with Gresham House Energy Storage Fund plc (GRID) covering 412MW of existing BESS assets, and acting for Strioga Family Foundation on its £8.6 million investment into GRID's Glassenbury battery projects.
