Benesch is pleased to announce that it advised MyFitnessPal, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners and Berkshire Partners, in its acquisition of Cal AI, the fast-growing AI-powered calorie counting app developed by teenage entrepreneurs. The deal, led by Benesch Corporate Partner Andrew Glickman, marks a significant step forward for MyFitnessPal as it continues to expand its digital health and nutrition offerings.

Cal AI quickly became a standout in the health tech space, amassing more than 15 million downloads and generating over $30 million in annual revenue in less than two years. Users have already benefited from integration with MyFitnessPal’s extensive nutrition database, which includes information on 20 million foods, access to 2,000 recipes and over 40 connected fitness partners.
