Butler Snow attorney Andrew Schrack recently presented at the Tennessee Bar Association’s 2026 Construction Law Forum on January 23 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Butler Snow attorney Andrew Schrack recently presented at the Tennessee Bar Association's 2026 Construction Law Forum on January 23 in Nashville, Tennessee. Schrack presented two different topics during the full day of construction law education. The full program provided 6.5 hours of CLE credit to forum attendees.

The first presentation, "A Deep Dive Into the Prompt Pay Act, Beacon4, and Current Cases," provided an in-depth review of the Tennessee Prompt Pay Act and explored how the payment deadlines imposed by the act can affect business relationships among owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

The second presentation, "Artificial Intelligence and Construction Law," provided an updated look at the use of artificial intelligence in the construction industry and how its use changes a project's goals, expectations and methods. Butler Snow attorney Kate Van Namen also co-authored this presentation.

Andrew Schrack

Schrack focuses his practice on commercial litigation and construction disputes. He represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, commercial evictions, and complex commercial disputes. He also counsels construction owners, contractors, and subcontractors in payment disputes, mechanics' liens, construction defects, bond claims, construction arbitrations, construction mediations, contractor licensing issues, and construction contract drafting.

In 2026, Schrack was recognized by BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America®Ones to Watch, for his work in commercial litigation. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator and has experience mediating cases involving contract and real property disputes. Schrack is also a graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel's (IADC) Trial Academy.

Schrack completed his undergraduate education at the University of Memphis and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Memphis Bar Association and the American Bar Association's Forum on Construction Law. Schrack is also a barrister for both the Leo Bearman, Sr. and Memphis ADR American Inns of Court. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and in Arkansas.
