We look forward to continuing to add exceptional, experienced talent across the firm as we respond to our clients’ needs in 2026 and beyond. Learn more about B&D’s newest additions and other firm news below.

Anshika Agrawal

Anshika helps clients navigate water, waste, and workplace-safety issues through clear, research-driven advocacy. Anshika has experience spanning water quality and regulatory compliance. She has researched federal and state water laws, analyzed penalty assessments, and drafted practical updates on emerging trends in environmental law for publication. Anshika collaborates closely with water, waste, and litigation teams to translate complex rules into actionable guidance for clients.

Korinna Garfield

Korinna helps clients navigate complex enforcement matters. At B&D, Korinna has worked on a variety of matters across federal, state, and municipal jurisdictions. She has experience collaborating on cases arising under the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Korinna previously served as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ's) Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) and as a legal intern with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. She also gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Hon. Kermit V. Lipez of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Jordann Krousse

Jordann advises on environmental law and litigation, with a focus on contaminated sites and water quality. Jordann helps clients navigate complex environmental issues that arise in investigations and disputes, including contaminated site matters under CERCLA and water-quality issues governed by the CWA. She has drafted research memoranda and analyses on toxic contamination, the application of CERCLA to special purpose districts, and the interplay between environmental and bankruptcy law. Her experience spans federal and state frameworks, including Washington’s Model Toxics Control Act, and practical exposure to client needs in active matters.

William Palmer

William brings his broad experience in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory research to complex litigation matters. He supports matters including white collar crime, civil litigation, and eminent domain, conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, and preparing responses to interrogatories. He has also compiled and analyzed discovery for complex litigation, created client-facing presentation materials, and explored applications of artificial intelligence in arbitration matters under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Additionally, William has attended depositions, mediations, and scheduling conferences, deepening his familiarity with litigation strategy and process.

Alison Walsh

Alison supports clients through complex regulatory issues to facilitate proactive problem-solving, focusing on FIFRA, international environmental law, and Title II of the CAA. Drawing on her Alternative Dispute Resolution experience in law school, Alison brings strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills to her work. Prior to joining B&D, Alison collected a diverse range of research and writing experience from her work at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General in their Environmental Permitting and Counselling Section, the 9th Judicial Circuit of Virginia, and William & Mary’s Office of University Counsel.

Alejandro Covarrubias Chadwick

Alejandro draws on his experience as an environmental attorney in Chile to guide clients through complex regulatory and litigation challenges. Before joining B&D and earning his LL.M., he advised both Chilean and international companies on the development of renewable energy and power transmission projects. Additionally, Alejandro has extensive experience in water law, having advised Chilean and international clients on the planning, sustainability, and efficient use of water rights. He complements his regulatory and litigation work with transactional skills. He has negotiated land leases, easements, and sales with landowners, indigenous communities, and international companies to facilitate the development of strategic energy and water-related infrastructure projects.

Valentina Sepulveda

Drawing on her background as an environmental attorney in Chile, Valentina helps clients through environmental compliance, permitting, and enforcement challenges. Before joining B&D, Valentina advised a multinational company on critical environmental issues including wastewater discharges, atmospheric emissions, waste management, sanitary conditions, and noise limits. She conducted operational and project risk analyses, identified regulatory trends, and developed compliance strategies. Valentina’s experience in the mining, forestry, pulp and paper industries includes Environmental Impact Assessment strategies, advising on permitting structures and enforcement defense, and closely coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.

Via Irby

Via focuses on complex litigation disputes with a growing interest in environmental enforcement and site-cleanup matters. Via thrives on translating dense records into clear strategies for clients. She sharpened her research and writing skills as a judicial intern in the Eastern District of New York and as a student attorney appearing in D.C. Housing Court, where she counseled clients, negotiated with opposing parties, and participated in mediations. Those experiences—combined with hands-on work preparing court orders, dispositive memoranda, and compiling filings—provide her with a strong foundation for motion practice and case management in environmental and commercial matters.

Angie Lai

Angie draws on her passion for the environment and human well-being to help clients resolve environmental regulatory and litigation issues. Angie works on water, air, and waste matters, and is increasingly interested in corporate sustainability. Before joining B&D, Angie worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 10; DOJ ENRD, Environmental Defense Section; and Georgetown Environmental Law & Justice Clinic. In private practice, she worked with tribal governments on site remediation issues, researched energy policies of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and supported litigation involving water and land disputes.

Olivia Schrager

Olivia advises clients on environmental litigation and compliance, with experience spanning nonprofit advocacy, international law firm training, and community-focused legal work. She has supported matters involving contamination, enforcement, and regulatory compliance, giving her a practical foundation in the statutes and agencies that shape the field, including the EPA, DOJ, and CERCLA. Before joining the firm, Olivia worked with the Environmental Defense Fund, the Columbia Environmental and Climate Justice Clinic, and the New York Environmental Law & Justice Project.
