Thursday, 15 January 2026 – CMS INDUSLAW advised Billionbrains Garage Ventures Limited ("ListCo") and its subsidiary Groww Asset Management Limited ("Groww AMC") (together, "Groww") on the strategic minority investment by State Street Investment Management, pursuant to which State Street has agreed to acquire a 23% stake in Groww AMC through a combination of primary subscription and secondary purchase from ListCo, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
The transaction marks State Street Investment Management's entry into India's asset management sector through a partnership with Groww AMC, a digital-first mutual fund platform. The investment is intended to support Groww AMC's growth and expansion in India's evolving investment and asset management ecosystem and is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
