Arnold & Porter partner Sheila S. Boston was honored with a portrait unveiling by the New York City Bar Association (NYCBA) on November 10, 2025, in recognition of her outstanding leadership as president of the of the NYCBA, from May 2020 until May 2022. Sheila was the first woman of color to serve in this role in the organization's more than 150-year existence. "This portrait unveiling is a historic event in the life of our legal community," the NYCBA stated.
A seasoned trial lawyer and litigation strategist, Sheila has built a distinguished career in product liability, mass torts, and complex commercial litigation. Earlier this year, among other accolades, she was recognized as one of the National Bar Association's (NBA) "Centennial Lawyers of Distinction," selected by the Women's Law Division as a nominee in the "Outstanding Minority Partner in Majority Firm" category, and received a "2025 Presidential Award" at the NBA Centennial Convention in Chicago.
