This forum will bring together the most seasoned thought leaders in the areas of privacy and security laws. In attendance will be privacy and security professionals, CIOs, attorneys, academics, experts from NGOs & think tanks, technologists, and policymakers.

Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Ian Ballon, co-chair of the firm's Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group, will be presenting "AI Workshop: AI IP and Data Ownership Issues for Privacy Professionals" on Nov. 12, from 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm ET. This program will explore the often-overlooked IP and common law rights that may be implicated when data and content are used to train algorithms. It will highlight key laws, litigation trends, and best practices related to copyright, privacy, and data access under federal and state law.

GT Shareholder Darren Abernethy will also be presenting the session "The Latest on Global Cross-Border Data Transfers" on Nov. 13, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm ET. This session will provide an update on key global data transfer regimes impacting U.S. companies, including developments in certifications, contracting, and bulk data transfers to countries of concern. Topics will also cover China's cross-border rules, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Brazil's data regime, Global CBPRs, and data localization trends.
