Maron Marvel is proud to announce that Paul Hammer has joined the firm as partner and will serve as the Office Managing Attorney of its Houston, Texas office. With more than 20 years of experience spanning complex adversarial and transactional matters, Paul brings strategic insight and proven leadership to the firm's expanding Texas presence.
Throughout his career, Paul has represented insurers, insureds, and self-insured entities, including small businesses and Fortune 500 companies, across a wide range of industries such as construction, energy, retail, financial services, logistics, and real estate. He is known for his collaborative approach, working closely with clients to protect their interests and deliver practical, results-oriented solutions.
Prior to joining Maron Marvel, Paul practiced in Puerto Rico, where he played a significant role in the historic PROMESA proceedings, the largest public debt restructuring in U.S. history. Additionally, he managed a diverse portfolio of commercial litigation, premises and general liability, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, and construction disputes for major insurance carriers and national corporations.
Since relocating to Houston in 2019, Paul has continued to build his reputation as a skilled litigator and trusted advisor, most recently serving as a shareholder at a prominent national law firm. Fluent in Spanish, he brings an additional layer of cultural and linguistic insight to his client work.
