Partner Miranda Hooker was named one of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly's 2025 Top Women of Law. This honor celebrates the exceptional accomplishments of women attorneys as leaders, educators, and mentors, as well as their pro bono, social justice, advocacy, and business efforts.
Miranda is a partner in the firm's Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group, and serves as Co-Chair of the Government Investigations, Enforcement & White Collar Defense practice. She represents clients in government investigations, including those involving health care fraud and abuse matters.
Before joining the firm, Miranda served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Health Care Fraud Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts. Leveraging her background as a former federal healthcare fraud prosecutor, she helps pharmaceutical, medical device and health care companies navigate federal criminal, civil and state attorney general investigations and enforcement actions, and has tried and defended significant cases in matters involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Controlled Substances Act, HIPAA, and Stark Law.
In addition to this honor, Miranda was named Government Investigations Attorney of the Year by the LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards. She is also a ranked lawyer in Chambers USA for White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations in Massachusetts, and has been recognized for excellence by Best Lawyers in America, The Legal 500 United States, and Boston Magazine Top Lawyers.
Miranda and fellow award recipients will be honored at a reception in Boston on November 18th.
