Sheppard Mullin advised AE Industrial Partners, LP in the sale of its portfolio company, Calca Solutions, LLC (Calca) to NewMarket Corporation (NYSE: NEU). Calca is the leading U.S. manufacturer of UltraPure and high-purity hydrazine, a critical propellant supporting in-space propulsion systems for satellites, probes and other aerospace applications, as well as key defense programs. For more than 70 years, Calca has been providing high purity hydrazine to the Department of Defense’s Defense Logistics Agency – Energy (DLAE), and its hydrazine derivatives have played a vital role in the manufacture of products used in agricultural, pharmaceutical, water treatment and industrial applications.
