Mintz advised Rendezvous Robotics, a space infrastructure company pioneering modular, autonomous in-orbit assembly, on the close of its $3 million Pre-Seed round and its public emergence from stealth.
he funding round was led by Aurelia Foundry and 8090 Industries, with participation from ATX Venture Partners, Mana Ventures, and other significant angel investors. The capital supports team expansion and the company’s transition from successful orbital demonstrations toward large-scale platforms. Rendezvous is currently advancing its third orbital demonstration, the fifth-generation of its TESSERAE technology, with plans for deployment on the International Space Station in 2026.
The patented TESSERAE technology was invented by Dr. Ariel Ekblaw while she was at MIT, incubated at the Aurelia Institute, and spun out as Rendezvous Robotics, co-founded by Ekblaw alongside Phil Frank and Joe Landon. The leadership team brings experience from SpaceX, Blue Origin, Lockheed Martin, and Nokia, and is advancing adaptable, scalable infrastructure that can self-assemble, self-correct, and reconfigure in orbit.
The Mintz team included International Practice Co-chair Larry Naughton, Member Alex Civetta, Special Counsel Laura Huber, and Associates Chris Rosene and Libby Decker.
