LONDON, September 1, 2025 – Duncan Evans has been named as one of Secondaries Investor’s Next Gen Leaders of Secondaries: Class of 2025. The annual list highlights professionals under 36 who are reshaping the secondaries market.
Selected from hundreds of nominations, Duncan is one 10 industry professionals recognized this year for their innovation, deal-making expertise, and leadership in one of the fastest-growing segments of private equity.
Duncan was selected for his work on a number of complex and innovative transactions in the secondaries space, and his broader contributions to the industry. In 2024/25, he has advised a variety of transactions representing over $15 billion of deal volume, ranging from LP-led portfolio deals; GP-led processes advising lead investors, syndicates and sponsors; and a number of other structured secondary transactions, including the largest ever recorded collateralised fund obligation (CFO) transaction.
This recognition comes at a time when the secondaries market is experiencing rapid innovation, with increased demand for bespoke liquidity solutions and structured products. Duncan’s work at Proskauer positions him at the forefront of these market shifts, helping clients navigate evolving deal structures and capital needs.
In addition to his secondaries work, Duncan advises a number of UK-based and European sponsors on their fundraisings, and a number of global institutional investors on their fund investments.
Duncan regularly participates in industry events, and for several years has been a keynote speaker at Proskauer’s Secondaries School Series and Invest Europe’s secondaries courses, which are aimed at improving technical fluency across the sector.
Duncan also supports vulnerable clients on social welfare issues through pro bono work with the University House Legal Advice Centre.
Duncan’s inclusion brings the number of Proskauer lawyers included in the Nex Gen Leaders list to three in the past three years, following the recognition of Corey Dietrich in 2024 and Lucie Rose in 2023.
