Our Private Equity team has advised Mobeus, a UK-based SME investor, on its £16.2 million minority investment in Big Potato Games – a London-based board games publisher.
Founded in 2014, Big Potato Games has built a portfolio of over 64 titles – including The Chameleon, Herd Mentality and Chicken vs Hotdog – which are sold in 44 countries. This is supported by a mission to foster joy and connection through inclusive, social gameplay.
The investment will enable Big Potato Games to accelerate its growth strategy across several key areas. Mobeus's support will increase research and development to fast-track the launch of new titles, continue expanding its international footprint, particularly in the US and Germany, and invest in digital products designed to enhance real-life connections through gameplay.
