On Thursday, 11 September 2025, the 7th edition of the UUBO Investigations, Compliance & Ethics (I.C.E.) Summit will bring together senior executives, compliance leaders, and industry experts to explore the theme: "Compliance, Culture, and Consequence: The Blueprint for Corporate Integrity."

The programme is designed to spark practical, candid conversations on how organisations can embed integrity deep into their culture, and why this is no longer optional in today's high-stakes business environment.

We will open with a keynote presentation on "Navigating U.S. Sanctions, Export Controls, and Tariffs," which will give clear, actionable guidance on what Nigerian businesses must know to operate compliantly in a shifting global trade environment.

Our fireside chat on "The Nigerian Business Test: Will AI, ESG, and Ethics Change the Game or Repeat the Past?" will confront the real test facing Nigerian companies today: whether emerging trends in technology, sustainability, and governance will lead to lasting change, or simply repackage old patterns.

Three panel discussions will then explore distinct but interconnected challenges. In the first panel, "Global Rules, Local Realities: Rethinking ESG Compliance and Corporate Integrity in
African Markets," experts will tackle how African markets can adapt ESG compliance frameworks to reflect on-the-ground realities without losing sight of international standards.

During the second panel session, "Internal Signals, External Pressures: Strengthening Whistleblower Protocols and Investigative Capacity," the focus will turn inward, examining how to build strong whistleblower systems and investigative capacity that genuinely protect organisations and employees.

Finally, the third panel, "AI-Driven Innovation: Navigating Risk and Accountability," will look at how artificial intelligence is reshaping compliance risks and how leaders can harness its potential without losing control of its consequences.

Each session is built to challenge assumptions, share practical strategies, and provide tools that attendees can take back to their organisations.
