A multidisciplinary real estate team has advised on a major land transaction in Nottingham that will unlock the development of 470 new homes and a state-of-the-art secondary school in Bramcote.

The 40-acre site at Coventry Lane has been acquired by housebuilder Miller Homes, in partnership with its newly acquired sister company, St. Modwen Homes. The deal marks the first joint project under the new partnership and represents a significant milestone for the region’s housing and education infrastructure.

The transaction was made possible through the strategic collaboration of Nottinghamshire County Council and The White Hills Park Trust, which released the freehold to facilitate the sale. The Trust secured full planning permission for a new 950-place school, comprising 750 secondary and 200 sixth form places, alongside approvals from Sport England and the Secretary of State.

The team was led by Partner Dan Leather and Principal Associate Jenny Tully, with support from Principal Associate Emma Cartledge-Taylor and Associate Jade Moore.

Principal Associate Jenny Tully who advised on the deal, added:

“It’s been a privilege to support this transformative project. The collaboration between public and private stakeholders has been exemplary, and the outcome will deliver lasting benefits for the Bramcote community.”

The development will deliver 470 new homes, including keyworker rental accommodation. The new school will replace the existing Bramcote College and is expected to provide significantly enhanced educational and sports facilities for students, staff, and the wider community.

Savills acted for The White Hills Park Trust on the deal.
