regarding the terms and conditions of cargo discharge. Protecting
the charterer's interests required applying statutory and
court-established methods of contract interpretation.
As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the
shipowner had included time in the calculation that should not have
been counted, while the charterer had completed the unloading
operations within the timeframe stipulated in the contract.
The arbitrators dismissed the claim, thereby releasing the
charterer from the alleged liabilities and awarding compensation
for legal expenses incurred.
