JACKSONVILLE, Florida (June 23, 2025) – Jessica Sievert, a former trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), has joined Holland & Knight's North Florida Litigation Practice Group as a partner in Jacksonville, Florida.
"Jessica has had a tremendous career at the Department of Justice and brings years of experience leading successful teams and managing challenging legal and policy issues," said Timothy Conner, head of the Firm's North Florida Litigation Practice Group. "Jessica's extensive experience in healthcare fraud enforcement and complex civil litigation will significantly strengthen our Jacksonville office and the Firm's industry-leading healthcare practice. She is an exceptional addition to our team."
Since joining the DOJ in 2015, Ms. Sievert has held several key positions, including deputy civil chief and healthcare fraud coordinator in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida, which is one of the most active healthcare fraud districts in the country, and Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Florida and Eastern District of Tennessee offices. Most recently, she served in the Commercial Litigation Branch's Civil Fraud Section, where she led complex investigations and litigation to address fraud against federal programs and agencies under the False Claims Act.
During her time at the DOJ, Ms. Sievert directed national investigative teams comprising multiple U.S. Attorney's Offices, federal agencies and other partners. Ms. Sievert also investigated, litigated and negotiated resolutions in numerous healthcare fraud cases involving the Anti-Kickback Statute, hospice care, skilled nursing, long-term care facilities, hospitals, lab testing, medical necessity and upcoding.
Prior to joining the DOJ, Ms. Sievert was an attorney at Waller Lansden in Nashville, Tennessee, a firm that combined with Holland & Knight in 2023.

Ms. Sievert earned a J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.A. degree from the University of Florida.
