The Technology team advised Convergence on its definitive agreement to be acquired by Salesforce. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions.
Convergence is a UK AI startup founded in April 2024 by two machine learning engineers, Marvin Purtorab and Andy Toulis. The company has developed AI-powered digital assistants that can automate daily workflow tasks like managing emails and scheduling meetings alongside consumer-focused applications like booking holidays and ordering groceries. Last year, Convergence raised a $12m pre-seed round led by Balderton, with participation from Salesforce Ventures. The Goodwin team also advised Convergence on this earlier round.
Salesforce, the #1 AI CRM, helps organizations of any size reimagine their business with AI. Following the acquisition, Convergence's team and technology is expected to play a central role in advancing Salesforce's AI agent platform, Agentforce, Salesforce said in a statement.
The Goodwin team was led by Adam Thatcher, Saba Rais, Duy Le, Amie Corry, and Hattie Muncey.
