Torys is proud to share that the firm's Competition and Foreign Investment Review practice has been recognized on an international level at the 15th annual Global Competition Review (GCR) Awards, where it won the Merger Control Matter of the Year – Americas award.
This award recognizes Torys' work in the strategic merger of Viterra Limited and Bunge Limited. The Torys team, made up of Omar Wakil, Rebecca Wagner, Eric Patenaude, Ian Li and Robin Asgari, acted as counsel to Viterra and its shareholders in the US$34 billion merger to create an innovative global agribusiness company to meet market demands and better serve farmers and end-customers.
