Paris - Mayer Brown advised Charterhouse Capital Partners ("Charterhouse"), one of the longest-established private equity firms operating in Europe, on the structuring of the acquisition of a stake in the leading French fire safety and security systems provider ESTYA.

Charterhouse will invest alongside ESTYA's management, who are reinvesting in the company, and Chequers Capital, who will remain a significant shareholder following an initial investment in 2021. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Paris, ESTYA, has tripled in size since 2021. The company which has 15 agencies in France, offers a comprehensive offering across electronic fire detection, smoke extraction and compartmentation, gas detection and electric security.
