Appleby is excited to announce the appointment of Bethany Yan as a Paralegal in its Investment Funds practice at the Hong Kong office, effective March 2025. This new hire follows the recent addition of Freya Xu as counsel, marking a significant expansion of Appleby’s investment funds capabilities in Asia.
Bethany brings a proven track record in investment funds and legal entity set-up, specialising in portfolio management and regulatory compliance. Throughout her career, she has successfully overseen the management of over 140 investment fund entities across 11 jurisdictions, showcasing her expertise in audit reviews and company secretarial functions.
Previously, Bethany worked as a paralegal at various prestigious onshore and offshore law firms, where she supported leveraged finance transactions, fund formation, and regulatory compliance. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, Bethany is well-equipped to serve Appleby’s diverse clientele in the region.
