Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Marlys Hickman, office administrator of the firm's Philadelphia and Wilmington offices, has been appointed president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA).
Hickman, who will serve a three-year term in this role climbing the ranks from president-elect to president and finally to past president, was sworn in on April 1. The 2016-2017 ALA board of directors was also affirmed as officers of the chapter during the event.
The Philadelphia Chapter of the ALA, established in 1975, has more than 200 members and is a chapter of the International ALA. Members work to improve the quality of management in law firms and other legal services organizations while promoting and enhancing the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team. Office administrators frequently manage and oversee the finance, human resources, systems and technology, facilities, marketing and practice development teams within law firms.
