Riker Danzig Managing Partner Michael P. O’Mullan, Counsel Robert P. Vacchiano and Associate Labinot A. Berlajolli coauthored the article “The New Jersey Data Privacy Act: New Obligations on Businesses Dealing With New Jersey Residents,” published in the November 27, 2024 issue of the New Jersey Law Journal. All members of the Firm’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Practice, the authors discuss the comprehensive new data privacy law, which requires businesses to disclose their data privacy practices and limits their ability to collect and use personal data. In addition to defining the application and requirements of the NJDPA, the article goes further to highlight the unique provisions of the NJDPA as compared to other landmark privacy laws such as the CCPA and GDPR.
